The Senior Process Engineer applies best practices and industry knowledge to enhance the process engineering discipline within McDermott. They serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, sharing their expertise in conceptual and practical aspects of process engineering. The Senior Process Engineer addresses complex problems and utilizes discipline-specific knowledge to improve products or services. They impact customer, operational, project, and service activities with the process engineering team and ensure adherence to guidelines and policies. Essential Qualifications & Education : Bachelor's or MasteraEUR(TM)s Degree in Engineering 8-15 years of oil and gas experience with major contractors or consultants, mainly in detailed design Strong knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, standards, codes, and guidelines Preferably a Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society Key Tasks and Responsibilities : Perform conceptual, FEED, studies, and detailed analyses and designs according to project specifications and standards Lead engineering teams on small projects Apply knowledge to standard and nonstandard situations Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and procedures Manage time to meet deadlines and develop work plans Communicate complex issues clearly and effectively Understand project scope, specifications, schedule, and interdisciplinary requirements, addressing concerns proactively Identify scope changes and raise change notifications with supporting documentation Support variation orders and interface with disciplines to develop clash-free designs Coordinate with other departments for input and compliance Document communications and maintain records Assist in estimating for bids and proposals Raise technical queries for clarification and maintain procedural standards Develop design basis, philosophies, and specifications Participate in reviewing deliverables, vendor submissions, and finalizing project documents Attend meetings and site surveys as required Provide technical oversight to designers and review reports Guide less experienced engineers and check discipline work Be aware of project costs and act as a resource for colleagues Prepare key deliverables such as process simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and studies Support other disciplines with process inputs and assist in safety and layout reviews Participate in audits and close-out of HAZOP actions Reports to : Functional : Supervising Department Manager Liaise With : All engineering disciplines, fabrication, safety, document control, procurement, subcontractors, vendors, and customers J-18808-Ljbffr #J-18808-Ljbffr
