About the Position:



The senior preincubation specialist oversees and coordinatesvarious entrepreneurial and business education trainings, events, andactivities within the Centre for Entrepreneurship. This pivotal role supportsstudent entrepreneurs, helping them transform their ideas into successfulbusiness models by providing guidance, resources, and support. The specialistworks closely with the Preincubation and Entrepreneurial Learning Units' teamsto foster a dynamic and supportive environment. They also build and maintainrelationships with external partners, including investors, industryprofessionals, accelerators, and other stakeholders, to enhance networkingopportunities for student entrepreneurs. Additionally, the specialist activelyorganizes and participates in networking events, pitch sessions, andconferences to boost the visibility and success of the center's entrepreneurialinitiatives. He will manage all technical aspects of Qatar University'sInnovation Hub while providing essential support to student entrepreneurs. Thisrole bridges advanced prototyping technologies with entrepreneurialdevelopment, enabling students to transform innovative ideas into tangible, market-ready products. The specialist oversees the operation and maintenance ofall Innovation Hub equipment, delivers technical training, and provideshands-on guidance across specialized stations. Additionally, the specialist builds relationships with technology vendors, industry partners, and other stakeholders to enhance the capabilities and resources available to studententrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities:



Design and implement preincubation programs and workshops to support potential entrepreneurs. Provide one-on-one mentorship to student entrepreneurs to guide their development and success. Evaluate and refine program offerings based on feedback and outcomes from participants. Connect startups with essential university resources such as labs, equipment, and research facilities. Facilitate access to variousfunding opportunities, including grants, competitions, and investor networks. Maintain an updated database ofmentors, advisors, and industry contacts to support entrepreneurial activities. Build and strengthen relationshipswith external partners, including investors, accelerators, and industryprofessionals. Organize and oversee networkingevents, pitch sessions, and demo days to showcase startups and attractstakeholders. Monitor and track the progress ofparticipants in preincubation programs, providing regular reports to theprogram director. Develop and implement metrics toassess the impact and success of pre-incubation activities, ensuring continuousimprovement.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications



Master's degree in engineering, Industrial Design,or related technical fields or Master's degree in Entrepreneurship + Bachelorin Engineering, Industrial Design, or related technical fields. Relevant professional certifications in digitalfabrication or makerspace management (preferred).

Languages:



English. Arabic.

Experience and workshops and Job requirements:



Minimum3 years' experience with digital fabrication technologies, applicationsdevelopment, and prototyping. Demonstratedunderstanding of startup development and entrepreneurial processes. Experiencein makerspace, fabrication lab, or innovation center environments. Proficiencywith 3D design software and digital fabrication equipment. Workingknowledge of electronics prototyping and programming concepts. Experience in training and mentoring technicalskills.
