Your function
EGI wishes to reinforce its team working on
Power System Operations and Security
in the context of deep integration of renewable energy sources, Energy and Balancing Market Integration. To achieve this, we are looking for
experienced professionals with expertise in the field of transmission system operation
. These experts will take part in local and international projects focusing on RES integration, security of supply, sustainability and economic efficiency of Power Systems.
Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):
Analysis and definition of operational principles;
Model definition and validation;
Steady-state (load flow, short circuit calculations etc.);
Dynamic stability analysis (frequency, voltage stability..);
Grid Code requirement and connection compliance studies;
Support the analysis and evaluation of grid reliability and security (e.g. capacity calculation, balancing, operational planning..);
Support the company's business development teams in identifying and pursuing opportunities by establishing trusted relationships with our clients and developing proposals.
Your responsibilities will be decided based on your competencies and expertise and will be discussed during your interviews with managers.
Your profile
Master's degree in Engineering or Applied Mathematics/Physics;
5-10 years of experience in Power System Operations and Security (balancing and RES system integration, system operation and state-of-the-art technological solutions);
Experience with HVDC, FACTS and Power Electronics related studies including transient stability, fault analysis, and dynamic performance assessments.
Expertise in translating complex data into key strategic insights and valuable actions;
Knowledge of power system simulation tools (PowerFactory, PSSE, PSCAD).
Fluent in English;
Knowledge of Arabic and the region is a strong asset.
