We are seeking an experienced
Senior Planning Engineer
with strong expertise in
building construction projects
to join our team in Dubai. The candidate must have proven UAE experience and be well-versed in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and reporting in accordance with contract requirements.
for structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing works
Prepare master, detailed, and look-ahead schedules
Ensure project schedules comply with contract milestones, phasing, and client requirements
2. Monitoring & Progress Control
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against the approved baseline
Update schedules and perform progress analysis
Identify
critical path activities
and recommend corrective or recovery actions
Coordinate with site teams to resolve planning and sequencing issues
3. Reporting
Prepare
weekly and monthly progress reports
Develop
S-curves, manpower histograms, and cash flow forecasts
Report delays, risks, and mitigation measures to management
Prepare dashboards and presentations for client and consultant reviews
4. Delay Analysis & Claims Support
Conduct
Extension of Time (EOT)
analysis in accordance with
FIDIC contracts
Perform
Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
Identify concurrent delays and establish responsibility
Support claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes
5. Resource Planning
Prepare manpower, equipment, and material deployment schedules
Optimize resource allocation to meet project targets
Coordinate with procurement teams to manage material lead times
6. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and site teams
Attend progress meetings with clients and consultants
Provide planning input for method statements, construction sequencing, and execution strategies
7. Risk & Recovery Planning
Identify schedule risks, constraints, and potential delays
Propose acceleration and recovery plans when required
Monitor and assess the impact of design changes and variations on the project schedule
8. Contractual & Compliance
Ensure planning activities comply with contract requirements
Maintain proper records for approvals, delays, variations, and site instructions
Assist in the preparation of contractual correspondence related to planning matters
9. Software & Tools
Expert-level proficiency in
Primavera P6
Strong command of
MS Excel
for planning, reporting, and analysis
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience
as a Planning Engineer in
building construction Dubai based projects
Mandatory Dubai / UAE experience
in a similar role
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts
Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills
Preferred Candidate
Immediate joiners or short notice preferred
Experience working with consultants and major developers in Dubai
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
