Planning Engineer

with strong expertise in

reactive planning

to support fast-paced renovation works.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules for renovation and fit-out projects using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Implement

reactive planning strategies

to manage changes, delays, and unforeseen site conditions typical of renovation works. Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure realistic and achievable schedules. Analyze schedule impacts, identify risks, and propose recovery plans and mitigation measures. Track project progress, prepare look-ahead schedules, and issue regular planning and progress reports. Monitor manpower, materials, and resource allocation to align with revised project timelines. Support claims, variations, and extensions of time (EOT) through proper schedule analysis and documentation.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum

5-8 years of experience

as a Planning Engineer, preferably in

renovation, fit-out, or fast-track construction projects

in the UAE. Strong hands-on experience in

reactive and short-term planning

. Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing site conditions.
Preferred Skills

UAE construction and renovation market experience. Knowledge of local regulations, approvals, and authority requirements. Experience with delay analysis and recovery schedules.
