Senior Planning Engineer

determines and develop the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects. It is the responsibility of the Senior Planning Engineerto estimate a timescale for a project and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project specifications. Reduce uncertainty, understand objectives and schedule work to improve efficiency. Assist with preparing cost estimates and assist in identifying expenditures to establish project budgets. Inspect and evaluate construction projects to ensure that materials and methods used are in compliance with established safety standards and specifications and to ensure the maintenance of sound landscaping standards. Interact with project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan. Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas. Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around. Assist project team to develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress. Site Progress monitoring using techniques KPI's Perform productivity analysis of construction operations. Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecast reports. Prepare backup and corrective action plans. Prepare weekly and monthly reports showing the work done in light of money and quantities comparing with manpower work hours at all sites. Progress presentation for client/consultant/senior management meetings Prepare EOT for the project and participate in preparing the related cost claims Delay Events identification and preparation/Review of EOT claims using Time Impact analysis, Window analysis etc. Perform all other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering/equivalent from a recognized University Minimum 10 years' experience in the related field Knowledge of Primavera P6 is a must Competent in Microsoft Planning software and all other general MS office software. UAE Driving License is a must
