Job Description

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the preparation, development, and monitoring of construction project schedules. The Senior Planning Engineer ensures that projects are executed within agreed timelines, resources, and budgets, while complying with contractual obligations and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, update, and maintain detailed construction project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project. Monitor project progress against the baseline program and identify any potential delays or risks. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to gather progress data. Develop recovery programs and mitigation plans to address delays. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting project performance, delays, and corrective actions. Integrate cost and time for Earned Value Analysis (EVA) in line with project requirements. Participate in construction progress meetings and provide schedule updates to management and clients. Conduct "what-if" analysis to evaluate the impact of changes in scope or resources. Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims with proper documentation and delay analysis. Ensure project schedules comply with contractual milestones and specifications.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum

7-10 years' planning experience

in the construction industry (buildings, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects). Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, and site operations. Proficiency in

Primavera P6

(mandatory) and MS Project. Experience in delay analysis and EOT claims. Familiar with FIDIC or similar contract standards (advantageous). Excellent communication and reporting skills.
