Job Summary

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead all planning activities across assigned projects, ensuring timely preparation and management of programs, progress tracking, and resource planning. The role requires a proactive professional capable of liaising with project stakeholders and providing clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare baseline programs and progress documents including S-curves, cash flow curves, KPIs, and manpower/equipment histograms. Monitor critical paths and prepare schedule impact reports for management. Prepare internal monthly targets, progress reports, and recovery programs. Draft contractual letters and extension of time (EOT) applications. Develop mitigation plans and revised programs. Maintain project risk register and upload project delivery KPIs in APMS systems. Conduct progress meetings and presentations. Liaise with procurement and planning teams for submittals and schedule coordination. Provide planning and scheduling advice to project management and site teams. Ensure compliance with project timelines, identify delays, and propose corrective actions. Perform other planning-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum

15 years

in construction project planning, preferably in large infrastructure or road projects in Qatar/GCC.

Software Proficiency:

Primavera (Advanced Level) Microsoft Project (Advanced Level) Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
