Job Summary:

The Senior Planning Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, progress, and resources to ensure timely and efficient project execution. This role focuses on mechanical works such as piping, static and rotating equipment, HVAC systems, and related installations in oil & gas or industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, update, and maintain detailed

project schedules

using

Primavera P6

or MS Project. Prepare

baseline programs

, progress reports, and recovery schedules. Coordinate with

project managers, engineers, and site teams

to collect progress data and update the schedule accordingly. Analyze

critical paths

, highlight areas of concern, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare and present

weekly and monthly progress reports

, including S-curves and manpower histograms. Support in the preparation of

project resource planning

(manpower, materials, equipment). Monitor and report

mechanical scope performance

, identifying delays and proposing mitigation strategies. Assist in the preparation of

claims, EOT (Extension of Time)

, and other contractual reports. Coordinate with procurement and subcontracting departments to align schedules with project needs. Review engineering and procurement deliverables to ensure alignment with project milestones. Ensure planning and reporting activities comply with

company and client requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

6 years

of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the

oil & gas / EPC / construction industry

. Strong proficiency in

Primavera P6

, MS Project, and Excel. Excellent knowledge of

mechanical construction activities

(piping, static/rotating equipment, HVAC). Good understanding of

project management principles

and

contractual procedure.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR12,000.00 per month
