Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with extensive experience in civil construction projects to join our team for an exciting new project in Rwanda. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting, with at least 10 years of experience in the civil construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

:

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using industry-standard software (Primavera P6 / MS Project).

Prepare detailed construction programs, resource histograms, and progress reports.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.

Identify and analyse schedule deviations and propose corrective actions.

Prepare and update cash flow projections and resource plans.

Monitor project milestones, critical paths, and risks, and report on progress.

Prepare extension of time (EOT) claims, recovery plans, and delay analysis reports.

Ensure project planning and control documents comply with company and client standards.

Support the project team with look-ahead schedules and forecast updates.

Attend project meetings and provide planning and scheduling input.

Qualifications and Experience

:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in planning and scheduling of major civil construction projects.

Strong experience with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

Excellent understanding of project management concepts and methodologies.

Experience in international construction projects is an added advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.

Mandatory Requirements

:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil construction.

Must be available for immediate joining.

Willing to relocate to

Rwanda for the duration of the project.
