Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling and planning activities across complex civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Primavera and MS Project, strong analytical capabilities, and fluency in Arabic to coordinate effectively with site teams, consultants, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to align execution with planned timelines Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and look-ahead schedules Analyze project delays and propose mitigation strategies Generate progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves for internal and client review Support tender planning and resource loading for new bids Ensure compliance with contractual milestones and reporting requirements Conduct site visits to validate progress and update schedules accordingly Lead planning meetings and communicate effectively in Arabic with site teams and local authorities
Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 10 years of experience in planning within civil construction projects Proven expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel-based reporting tools Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource planning Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) - essential Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously PMP or PSP certification is an advantage
