Job Overview:

This role will provide overall leadership in developing and updating the project schedule for specific areas / phases of the project, overall co-ordination and interfacing on all planning related activities for the specific part of the schedule and be proactive in ensuring that the schedule problems are properly addressed by the disciplines.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support preparing project planning procedures defining programme requirements, levels of detail, programme formats, resource planning requirements, progress assessment methods, reporting requirements and frequency.
  • Support Preparing and co-ordinating multi-discipline summary level programmes.
  • Attend regular progress meetings with project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction as appropriate to ensure the work is being carried out in line with the agreed programme.
  • Ensure the proper interfacing of programmes between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Fabrication, Installation, Hookup and Commissioning as appropriate.
  • Support the Issue of the initial project programme, planning package and subsequent updates
  • Prepare Level 1, 2, 3 schedules in Primavera (Logic linked & Resourced).
  • Direct, support and Ensure all level 3 inputs into Level 4 set up in applicable databases
  • Develop Project schedule risk model and conduct Project Schedule Risk Analysis at regular intervals
  • Ensure the timely collection of accurate updated information and its incorporation into schedule, analyse the effects of the updated information and highlight any adverse situations to the Lead Planner and Project Controls Manager.
  • Evolve and propose possible solutions to scheduling problems.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of charts and diagrams as required for reports, indicating planned, actual and forecast.
  • Prepare narratives for reports, analyse achievements and their likely effects on remaining scope of work.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Engineering or Science
  • Primavera P6 software skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous Offshore projects planning experience with a Contractor
  • Focused on project delivery
  • Team player, good co-ordination and interfacing skills
  • Strong commitmenet to deadlines
