mselect is looking to hire a Senior Piping Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore/offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield, that includes a minimum of facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design). Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities Responsible for analyzing, determining the root cause of failure and recommending remedial solutions to ensure proper troubleshooting of reported problems on piping and Static discipline The Senior Piping/Static engineer is required to support maintenance, asset integrity, operations, with their daily activities, manage the concept/FEED/EPC design work for asset development projects carried out by Contractors and that are managed in-house, provide all asset-related inputs to the major project team with respect to piping/Static discipline Key accountabilities include ensuring efficient project implementation, proactive facility improvement, and technical integrity in conjunction with the clientaEUR(TM)s standards and Shell DEP for surface facilities specific to piping/static discipline

Requirements BacheloraEUR(TM)s in mechanical engineering; A chartered engineer is preferred or working towards it Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore/offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield, that includes a minimum of facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design) and a minimum of 5 years in project execution, including construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance (including field troubleshooting) Well conversant with piping stress analysis software (Caesar II), Pvelite & CodeCal, layout studies, material specifications and root cause failure analysis. Knowledge of international codes and standards Computer literacy: Ability to operate standard computer software, such as Microsoft applications Logic thinking and analytical skills Good presentation, communication, and written skills. Interpersonal ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Aptitudes for taking the initiative Working knowledge of company business processes and regulatory requirements Managing and measuring work using appropriate metrics and key performance indicators
