Job Overview: The Senior Pipeline Engineer is accountable to perform conceptual, FEED, Studies and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures Clear communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding Fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter0dicipline requirements Identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications including providing any necessary supporting documentation and estimates Interface with all disciplines to develop clash free designs Assist in preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements and man-hour estimates Raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarification work scope and to maintain preferred McDermott procedures, specification, standards, practices and operational requirements Attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings and offshore site surveys as required Provide technical direction and review of Designer producing products related to Pipeline Engineering Assist procurement personnel in procuring Discipline equipment, materials and services Assist in updating weight report based on receipt of vendor information Review vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as needed. Prepare/review pipelines and their components inclusive material specifications and datasheets, fabrication, installation, material takeoffs, reports and installation manuals. Perform the following designs, analyses and evaluation for pipelines and their componentsrms pipelines design activities Essential Qualifications and Education: Bachelor Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture Master Degree is Preferred Minimum 7 - 10 years of engineering discipline experience in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant in an office predominately performing detail design of offshore facilities Preferred Qualifications and Education: 10 years experience in Finite element analysis Experienced in Subsea Pipeline design Familiar with ABAQUS software Has performed Lateral buckling and mitigation design for pipelines Well experienced in VAS analysis Well experienced in 3D modeling of the pipeline and seabed in ABAQUS Experienced in various mitigations like snake lay, Zero Radius Bend etc. Experienced with pipeline fatigue design and ECA requirements. Familiar with Pipe Soil Interactions during lateral buckling Familiar with International codes and Recommended Practices for lateral buckling of pipelines Experienced with Pipeline walking analysis using ABAQUS Experienced in Probabilistic lateral buckling assessment Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society Company Overview and Core Values:
