Position Overview
AECOM Middle East is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal / Corporate Secretary to join its Legal Department in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal and corporate governance support, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and global corporate standards. This role is ideal for a professional with strong knowledge of corporate law, excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic, and experience handling cross-border corporate matters within a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide paralegal support to the regional legal team, including research, document drafting, and case coordination.
  • Manage corporate secretarial functions such as board meetings, shareholder communications, and regulatory submissions.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain corporate legal documents, contracts, and compliance registers.
  • Oversee the maintenance of statutory records, company filings, and minute books.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE laws, Free Zone regulations, and AECOM's internal corporate governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, notaries, and external counsel on legal filings and approvals.
  • Support due diligence processes for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory updates impacting the company's operations.
  • Assist in the drafting and review of standard contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Maintain legal databases and manage document archiving systems.
  • Provide translation and bilingual legal support (Arabic and English) for official documents when required.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related discipline.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal or corporate secretary, ideally within a multinational or large organization.
  • Proven experience in corporate governance and compliance under UAE regulations.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
  • Excellent organizational, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication, drafting, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience liaising with Free Zone authorities (e.g., DIFC, DMCC, ADGM) preferred.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
