Job Description

A leading research-driven organization focused on developing advanced scientific and engineering solutions is seeking a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer to support the development of next-generation mechanical and optical systems. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical and opto-mechanical systems, components, and precision tools supporting assembly and alignment.
• Perform simulations and analyses (including structural, thermal, and vibration assessments) to validate and optimize engineering designs.
• Conduct tolerance studies and apply manufacturing and assembly standards to prepare designs for integration and testing.
• Lead the integration and testing of mechanical and opto-mechanical subsystems, ensuring proper documentation of results and findings.
• Support cross-functional engineering teams by contributing to technical discussions, documentation, and research publications.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate in multidisciplinary environments to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling, mechanical design, and simulation methodologies.
• Experience conducting mechanical analyses (thermal, stress, strain, vibration) and applying industry standards.
• Solid understanding of opto-mechanical system integration and optical system fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design-optimization capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse, multicultural teams.
• Self-directed, innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and technical advancement.
