Job Description

Overview
Coordinate & facilitate GAL's Risk Management and BCM activities. Implement GAL's Risk Management and BCM framework and practices for identifying and helping manage uncertainties that could materially affect GAL's ability to achieve its financial, strategic and operational objectives.



Will also be responsibilities



Assist senior manager Risk & Continuity to:

1. Coordinate the implementation of GAL's Risk Management and BCM framework and advise on GAL's Risk Management and BCM system.

2. Support business in embedding risk thinking and analyses in all business processes and key decision-making (f.e. strategic planning, business development, project execution, business sustainability, compliance, internal audit and operations).


3. Provide independent views to senior management on the (continuity) risks and uncertainties associated with existing operations and strategy as well as business plans and transactions.

4. Provide periodical reports to the Board's Audit Committee and senior management.

5. Be centre of competence for BCM, DRP and all risk analyses, and responsible for independent, timely & quantative risk analyses for decisions proposed by management.

Qualification
At least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Statistics, Economics, IT, or Accounting.




A recognized professional certification in the area of risk management and/or business continuity is highly desirable (CRMA, CRISC, CBCP, CBCI, CIA, CISA, ...).


Experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience in risk management, internal control, business continuity management (BCM), or internal audit.



Experience in the aviation MRO industry is a plus.



Broad understanding of qualitative and quantative risk analyses methodologies




General understanding about risk behavior and perception (f.e cognitive biases).



In-depth knowledge of Risk Management standards and procedures.



Knowledge of project management and financial reporting principles.



Good knowledge of IT systems and processes.



Hands on experience with AI and data analytics tools.
