Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage the expediting function, ensuring timely delivery of goods, materials, and services in line with project timelines and contractual commitments. The Senior Expediting Officer will play a key role in mitigating risks, enhancing supplier performance, and maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities

• Lead and coordinate expediting activities to ensure the timely receipt of materials and services.
• Monitor supplier schedules, production progress, and delivery milestones to identify potential delays.
• Develop and implement strategies to address and mitigate delivery risks.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify production and shipping progress.
• Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to improve their adherence to schedules.
• Proactively identify risks in the supply chain and develop corrective action plans.
• Escalate unresolved delays or critical issues to senior management with recommendations for resolution.
• Ensure contingency plans are in place for high-priority or high-risk deliveries.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and project teams to align expediting activities with operational objectives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for expediting updates and ensure seamless communication across departments.
• Maintain accurate records of all expediting activities
• Prepare detailed progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and management.
• Ensure all shipping and delivery documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures for expediting activities.

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) is an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of procurement, expediting, and supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of shipping terms (e.g., INCOTERMS), logistics planning, and import/export regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze complex supply chain data and present actionable insights.

Technical Competencies

• Advanced knowledge of supplier performance metrics and expediting tools.
• Expertise in production schedules, lead times, and logistics processes.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, purchase orders, and contractual terms.
• Familiarity with analytical tools
