Job Description

Help AG is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer should have deep expertise in Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and F5 technologies. The candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced network security infrastructures. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and highly available network environments while driving continuous improvement in security posture and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Act as the SME for NGFW firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto) and F5 technologies (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM). Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot network security infrastructures across multiple environments. Manage and optimize firewall policies, NAT configurations, IPS, URL filtering, and security profiles. Implement and support F5 load balancing, WAF capabilities, and access management modules. Provide operational support, including incident handling, RCA, and performance tuning. Ensure high availability, secure traffic flow, and optimal performance across critical network services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Strong hands-on expertise with Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 platforms (LTM/GTM/ASM/APM). Deep understanding of network security architecture and best practices. Experience in security operations, troubleshooting, and traffic/log analysis. Knowledge of routing/switching protocols, segmentation strategies, and cloud security fundamentals. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in enterprise environments with strong change and incident management practices.
