The Senior Naval Architect/Structural Engineer will oversee a team of engineers and be responsible for the planning, verifying, execution and delivery of projects and marine warranty scope.
What you will be doing.
Assist with preparation of proposals for bids and tender inputs. Developing new business including initiating and winning proposals.
Supervise (prepare) as required and assist with Naval Architecture/Engineering design, calculations and analysis for designs of various Structural Engineering elements pertaining to the project in accordance with international codes and standards.
Assist and/or lead projects (as assigned by the manager) to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to customers within the timeframe, costs and quality standards established by ABL and/or the Client
Responsible for the execution of projects and deliverables in accordance with quality and HSE standards.
Perform concept and detailed design / analysis of various fixed / floating offshore structures and MODUs.
Undertake Marine Warranty scope of work \xe2\x80\x93 review and site activities
Attend regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required
Maintain responsibility for Naval Architecture/Structural Engineering integrity, prepare working forecasts, identifying change management plans, and corrective action as well as real time schedules.
Ensure all deliverables carried out in accordance with ABL policies and procedures
Participate in design reviews, audits, and Nav Arch/Structural Engineering-related reviews. Evaluate and prepares concept selection reports and basis for design
Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction
Provide mentoring, coaching and motivation to subordinates and provide training to personnel new to the structural systems analyses and design as required.
And other duties as assigned.
Primarily office based but requirement for onsite attendance and time with clients.
What we are looking for.
Degree qualification in Naval Architecture or Structural Engineering or equivalent
5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience relevant professional experience with particular relevant experience and expertise with loadout/ transportation/ installation of offshore assets.
Particular relevant experience and expertise with jack ups / MODUs and site-specific assessments
In depth knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards to structural analysis & designs
Full understanding of classification societies and their design requirements
Attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.

Influential with business and people acumen
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent
Chartered engineer status or equivalent
Member of Society of Marine Warranty Surveyors
