Senior Mechanical Engineer - Secure Communications & SATCOM
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design, thermal validation, and ruggedization of advanced secure communication and SATCOM systems.
This senior role focuses on delivering defense-grade hardware platforms capable of operating in extreme environmental conditions while ensuring manufacturability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead 2D/3D mechanical design using SolidWorks
- Perform thermal and structural simulations (ANSYS, Flowtherm, or equivalent)
- Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 standards
- Oversee environmental and vibration testing
- Drive design for manufacturability and cost optimization
- Collaborate with RF, electronics, and system engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in defense, aerospace, SATCOM, or RF hardware
- Strong expertise in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Experience with ruggedized system design and environmental qualification
- Knowledge of EMI shielding, materials, and precision machining
