Wood is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating) to join our team in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities
Providing advice on the selection of mechanical equipment
Specification rotating equipments
Preparation of Enquiry Requisitions
Technical evaluation / clarification of supplier bids
Technical supervision of supplier design and control of supplier interface, plus the co-ordination of interfaces with other engineering disciplines
Review of Supplier documentation for integration within Project design, such as GA / Details / Calculations and Fabrication Procedures
Provide specialist input to design reviews, risk assessments and constructability reviews
Support Inspection and Testing of Equipment, attend testing for critical equipment
Support Construction and Commissioning
Technical support for installation and commissioning
Manage packages related to rotating equipment, including coordination with suppliers, technical evaluation, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Skills / Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering degree
10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
Strong expertise in the selection, specification, and design of rotating equipment
Familiarity with standards of major oil companies
Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and practices related to rotating equipment, such as API, ASME
Experience with static equipment would be considered an advantage
Demonstrated knowledge of package management processes and coordination with suppliers
Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate within Microsoft Office
