Our Client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer - Rotating to join their team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Rotating, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of rotating equipment for various Oil and Gas projects. - Prepare and review major equipment enquiry specifications, analyze vendor bids, prepare technical bid evaluations, review vendor documents and coordinate with other disciplines for data inputs.
- Provide technical assistance, coordination, and liaison with other discipline engineers on all aspects of engineering/technical matters and audits.
- Participate in all Design reviews, HSE workshops, and Constructability reviews, as necessary.
- Review and approve sub-contractor\'s work and ensure compliance with the contract, project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best practices.
- Ensure that all work is completed with quality and delivered according to the project schedule.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors to troubleshoot issues related to design, manufacturing, maintenance, and installation.
- Prepare engineering reports on project activities/methods.
- Provide direction and guidance on all technical queries relating to equipment engineering.
- Provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline.
- Assist in the coordination of all activities related to major mechanical equipment.
- Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
- Supervision of Graduate Engineers and provide input to the performance management of direct reports.
- Develop, review, and approve project and proposal estimates and schedules by referencing the project scope of work and discussing the estimates and schedules within the team and those of other disciplines.
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, as minimum.
- FPSO/Offshore experience is preferred.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in Rotating Equipment design.
- Experience of working with multinational and multicultural project teams is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
