We are now looking for Senior Mechanical Engineer Rotating to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Reports To The Senior Mechanical Engineer Rotating reports to Department Manager and assigned Project Manager. Job Overview The Senior Mechanical Engineer Rotating Engineer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas. In your role you will execute pipeline engineering projects in safe manner, budget, schedule and quality. You should have a desire to work on multi discipline local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by leading assigned discipline designers and engineers. Industry Specific Experience Minimum 10 years of mechanical design in onshore and offshore oil gas industry in a brownfield environment with focus on rotating equipment. FEED and detailed engineering experience is essential. Recent experience in an engineering consultancy in a multidiscipline environment is essential. Responsibilities and Duties

• Interact with the project engineering manager for solving technical problems arising during project development.
• Ability to review Client's technical documentation and requirements.
• Conduct Rotating Equipment Engineering activities for projects, from initial concept definition phase through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
• Create, develop and review work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities. Ensure that the work-scopes are comprehensive and clear.

• Carry out in-house site surveys, engineering / design.
• Review and approve method statements created by contracted organizations for scope compliance. Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issues.
• Understand the interface within multi-discipline project
• Should take full responsibility of proper and timely execution of project deliverable ensuring full compliance with quality management system and any project specific contractual requirements.
• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management teams.
• Coordinate within members of mechanical discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients, third parties, vendors etc.
• Participates in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out.
• Ability to prepare documents for mechanical related workshops and actively participate in same
• Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, material quantity and budget control
• Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects
• Is able to produce proposals for projects which involve man hour and schedule estimates for mechanical discipline
• Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas
• Cooperating with other engineering disciplines, customers and subcontractors locally or overseas
• Technical Bid Evaluations of selected Vendor Offers
• Prepare of specifications, data sheets and other information covering Rotating equipment and system packages
• Technical writing activities, in particular, production of technical reports and operating manuals.
• Specialized expertise with rotating equipment, specifically centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, compressors screw, centrifugal, reciprocating, sliding van etc. Gas Turbines as well as other rotating equipment packages Hands on experience with pumps, compressors and packaged equipment.
• Specialized expertise in the specification for, evaluation of and documentation of rotating equipment packages.
• Specialized knowledge of API-610 pumps, API-617 618 compressor, API-682 Mech. seal and statutory and regulatory requirements and a good understanding of onshore and offshore engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate (BEng, BSc. or MSc.) in Mechanical or Technical related degree.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant engineering experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good verbal as well written communication skills, leadership and coordination, analytic and pro-active approach competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
• Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak of project.
• Willing to do extensive site-surveys during project execution.
• Must be familiar with the following international codes and standards - ANSI, ASME, ASTM, BS, MSSP, API, NACE, DNV and SHELL DEPs
