Job Description
Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer in Oil and Gas Industry Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and experience in designing, implementing and maintaining electrical systems in the oil and gas industry. Responsibilities:
Contract length: 9 months Application Question(s):
- Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, lighting, and other related equipment.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Prepare engineering documentation, including technical reports, design specifications, and project plans.
- Supervise and lead a team of engineers and designers to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, maintenance, and procurement, to ensure effective coordination of projects.
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Provide input into the development of safety procedures and policies to ensure that all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards, including IEEE, NEC, and NEMA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering software, including ETAP, SKM, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with electrical equipment design, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and motors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
