Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall financial reporting and analysis for the Group Strategic Project Portfolio and IT-managed cost base
• Supervise, coach, and develop junior finance team members through on-the-job training and knowledge sharing
• Promote strong ethics, governance, and a value-driven culture across the finance function
• Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and report variances with actionable insights
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and advise management to support informed decision-making
• Implement and enhance finance policies, systems, and procedures to ensure regulatory and internal compliance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, sustainability, and cost optimization
• Prepare accurate and timely sectional financial statements and management reports

Project Financial Governance

• Partner with PMO and cross-functional stakeholders to manage financials of the strategic investments portfolio
• Support strategic planning with a consolidated, forward-looking view of the portfolio pipeline
• Guide stakeholders in business case development, ensuring assumptions align with bank policies and strategy
• Support business case budget approvals and coordinate implementation across lines of business
• Conduct impact assessments for budget reviews and changes across initiatives

Portfolio Insights

• Oversee and monitor financial performance of in-flight initiatives versus approved business cases
• Prepare capitalization projections and forecast financial impacts by line of business
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews using PMO systems to inform EXCO and senior stakeholders
• Deliver scenario analysis, forecasts, and insights to guide executive committees and group heads
• Identify synergies and cost optimization opportunities to maximize portfolio value
• Support impact analysis, optimization, and prioritization with EXCO stakeholders

Reporting and Standards

• Produce regular management information on strategic portfolio performance
• Monitor benefits realization post-completion of initiatives
• Design financial performance metrics providing a centralized portfolio view
• Standardize business case financial submission processes in line with best practices
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, SOPs, and ethical standards
• Conduct stakeholder awareness sessions on financial submission standards and leading practices

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA or ACCA or a Master's level qualification
• Minimum 10 years of relevant banking experience with progressive responsibility in finance leadership roles
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate finance teams
• Strong engagement experience with senior management and executive stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to balance detailed analysis with strategic perspective
• Strong multitasking capability and resilience under pressure while delivering high-quality outcomes
