JOB TITLE: SENIOR MANAGER - BUSINESS SYSTEMS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the demand, prioritization & delivery within budget of Business software & development needs with close co-ordination Business functions
  • Manage the process of change management with respect to enhancements to implemented application/s and interfaces with other applications. Manage the process of impact analysis and assure that the changes deliver the expected result
  • Support the delivery of Operational Excellence initiatives through implementation of Systems, Automations & Digital Initiatives
  • Provide the requisite guidance and assistance to business functions to formulate strategies and cost saving initiatives bearing in mind the trend of technology advancements, industry best practices & Client needs
  • Support decision-making at Company level in conjunction with executive management in strategic decisions and contractual risk identification, risk mitigation and risk management during the pre-qualification, bidding, pre-award and execution stage
  • Develop the annual budget needs for Engineering Systems software and development
  • Performs studies and evaluations for Systems from a technical/contractual point of view during the pre-qualification, bidding and pre-award stages
  • Resolution of major deviations from Software Vendors to the terms and conditions of Purchase of Software and Services
  • Ensure that the organizational structure, procedures, processes and resources for the Business Systems department are adequate to meet the needs of the business
  • Review current systems and procedures and design new systems based on inputs and Client requirements
  • Maintain and manage a Global Support team for specialist work such as engineering tools management to support tools from Hexagon , AVEVA , Bentley, AutoDesk, Aspen Tech etc
  • Responsible for the technical interface with vendors as Hexagon, AVEVA, Bentley, AspenTech, AutoDesk.
  • Support techno-commercial negotiations and align with Business & Clients needs of utilisation across regions
  • Review & right fit the system based processes to enable seamless integration of Business process & information needs
  • Plan and allocate manpower resources for executing the different projects, proposals and other activities of the Discipline.
  • Identify & manage department resources and development of resources for short term & long term needs
  • Supervise the activities in converting the project from concept to detail engineering.
  • Facilitate the manpower recruitment process in co-ordination with HR.
  • Conduct regular technical interviews for potential new hires at senior positions.
  • Ensure manpower resources of discipline are adequate and are utilized efficiently.
  • Provide technical expertise during various phases of project execution and proposal engineering.
  • Promote innovation, team spirit, design improvement and technical excellence within the business.
  • Set & Manage team objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and aligning these to the requirements of management.
  • Review existing working systems and explore new systems and implement the changes to improve quality and productivity.
  • Directs employee performance evaluations, establish performance criteria, identify employee strengths & weaknesses and recommend training & development requirements.
  • Conduct internal staff meetings to ensure the progress of projects in accordance to schedule, allotted man-hours and budgeted costs.
  • Direct the engineers towards achieving quality and maintaining budget and schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with Company ISO quality procedures.
  • Facilitate Company's internal and external quality audits in co-ordination with the QA/QC Department.
  • Review complex problems and guide the team in selecting safe, efficient & economical solution.
  • Networking with third party agencies to identify area for value addition, to get up-to-date on technology and to get their expert resources on demand.
  • Manage Quality & Risk Management process for Business Systems Delivery
  • Keep up to date knowledge in development and latest software version releases and rolling out improvements.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree from an accredited College or University and having minimum 15-20 years of work experience preferable from a background in working for the EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry. At least 8-10 years of experience in managerial position covering technical & managerial functions and team management.
  • Detailed Knowledge regarding development and delivery of integrated business processes through effective utilization of Business Applications.
  • Possess good knowledge of project information systems, data interface/integration and solutions from market leaders catering to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Manage demand, prioritization & delivery within budget of Business software & development.
  • Forward planning and strategic thinking.
  • Capacity to perform executive duties to avoid crisis situations and promptly solve problems when they occur.
  • Able to see an entire concept, analyze and diagnose a problem, and find creative solutions.
  • Competent to interact, work or relate effectively with people.
  • Possessing great communication skills.
  • Skilled to support Systems, Automations & Digital Initiatives, and fully manage engineering tools from Hexagon, Aveva, Bentley, AutoDesk, Aspen Tech etc.
