Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To build capabilities to support flydubai's enterprise data and analytics by transforming data for easy analysis, developing, and driving AI strategy, enabling a data-driven organization, and creating data models and services for various business operations in collaboration with IT, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and implements a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Defines data engineering and analytics roadmaps, outlining key milestones and initiatives to drive data-driven decision-making. Designs and implements robust and scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions. Drives data analytics initiatives to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities for business optimization. Utilizes advanced analytical techniques to extract insights from large and complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and correlations. Establishes and enforces data governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards. Implements best practices for data quality, integrity, and security, monitoring and enforcing data privacy and security measures. Conducts regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks related to data management and usage. Develops and executes the organization's AI strategy, aligning it with business objectives and overseeing the development and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms. Leads the development and implementation of machine learning models, algorithms, and AI systems, exploring innovative approaches to solving business problems. Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data science and AI initiatives, monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Ensures continuous process improvement and optimization, staying informed about advancements in data engineering and AI, and recommending new tools and technologies. Builds, mentors, and leads a team of data and machine learning engineers, and AI specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Monitors and enforces data privacy and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensures compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree (3+ years) Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Fluent in English (other languages an advantage) Minimum 10 years' experience with a strong technical expertise in data engineering & visualization tools, databases, and AI frameworks. Experience in developing and implementing strategies in a data driven organization. Deep understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices. Excellent understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms and leading AI strategy execution, overseeing development and deployment of machine learning models. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), data engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Project Management and SAFe Agile methodologies. 10 - 12 years Certified on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Industry certifications in data engineering and AI. Project Management and SAFe certifications.

ISR Requirements: Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
