Position Overview
As Senior Manager - Data Intelligence and Automation, you will lead the transformation of Majid Al Futtaim's Business Intelligence ecosystem. This role will architect and execute a unified BI strategy, oversee strategic BI platforms, and implement AI-powered automation to optimize performance across business units. You'll also play a pivotal role in driving data literacy, governance, and scalable insight delivery throughout the enterprise.
What You'll Do

• Define and lead the execution of a unified enterprise BI and automation roadmap aligned with business goals
• Build and manage MAF's Strategic Business Intelligence Platform (SBIU), ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
• Develop and enforce best practices, a centralized BI glossary, and a metadata repository to harmonize reporting standards
• Lead CI/CD pipeline management for BI tools and dashboards, ensuring agile deployments and secure data access
• Advise on and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs through automation
• Oversee development of GenAI tools including NLP, LLM prompting, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) integrations
• Identify high-impact automation opportunities across data preparation, reporting workflows, and business processes
• Guide cross-functional BI, automation, and data science teams in delivering actionable insights and strategic solutions
• Promote user adoption through training, support, and user experience enhancements for self-service BI tools
• Monitor BI usage metrics and continuously optimize platform performance and usability

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems
• 10+ years of experience in BI leadership, data strategy, or automation roles within enterprise-scale environments
• Deep knowledge of data management, analytics frameworks, and automation processes
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in Pandas, APIs, ML (scikit-learn, TensorFlow), and GenAI tools
• Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Power BI
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, vector databases, and AI integration into analytics workflows
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on enablement and literacy
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional data and automation teams, while ensuring platform alignment across business units
