About the Role
Our client is a prestigious government entity who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Strategic Communications Manager to lead a Strategic Communications function. This pivotal role will shape and execute the Government Affairs team's external communications strategy, enhancing corporate visibility, protecting reputation, and ensuring alignment with national priorities.
You'll manage a high-performing team and external agency partners to deliver impactful communications across multiple platforms. From strategic planning and media relations to crisis management and executive content development, your expertise will directly influence how our stakeholders perceive and engage with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategic communications plans
- Lead executive communications and leadership positioning for the Chair and CEO
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders and media partners
- Oversee content creation: speeches, press releases, public domain reports, and more
- Supervise and guide agency partners across PR, social media, monitoring, and digital
- Monitor reputation and manage crisis communications when needed
- Deliver timely and high-quality strategic communications insights and analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic communications, PR, or corporate comms, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
- Proven success in managing senior-level stakeholders and high-profile projects
- Strong knowledge of the UAE media and government landscape
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required; Arabic a strong asset)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff
- Experience handling sensitive issues and high-stakes communication situations
- High cultural awareness and understanding of regional geopolitical dynamics
