JOB Summary

The Senior Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction within United Arab Emirates and Oman operations, to establish and develop the business and achieve financial and operational objectives as determined by the Senior Director Canrig.

The job holder is accountable for leading the business establishment and set up in the specified countries and driving business performance against the key performance areas in Health & Safety, Finance, Quality, Sales & Business Development while always maintaining Legal Compliance. The position is responsible for leading the recruitment and development of critical positions inclusive of management, supervision and technical resources in the specified countries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Business Management & Continuous Improvement:
  • Responsible for the planning, operation and growth of Canrig business in the geographical countries under their remit
  • Responsible for the effective management of the Canrig resources in each country to meet the demands of customers.
  • Responsible for recruitment of personnel to meet the existing business needs and the required establishment and growth plans of each country.
  • Establish and maintain an effective organization structure and technician skills base to meet the plans and needs of the business in the short and longer term.
  • Works closely with Nabors Area Management to ensure alignment and effective communication to drive the Canrig business in each country
  • Works closely with, and supports, the management from other Canrig Eastern Hemisphere countries to ensure technical resources are shared to meet the business goals of the hemisphere.
  • Develops short- and long-range plans to attain specific objectives set by the Senior Director Canrig to meet business needs
  • Cooperate and collaborate with the Sales and Business Development organization to achieve maximum market potential and market penetration for Canrig
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers and appropriate regulatory bodies and industry forums in each country
  • Responsible for maximizing financial results of the remit countries including profit & loss, as well as receivables.
  • Establish forecast revenues and profits in accordance with prescribed guidelines and ensure effective teamwork to meet and exceed approved targets
  • People Management:
  • Lead the way on people management to drive a motivated disciplined and productive workforce. This includes effective staff leadership and communication.
  • Accountable for driving the Performance Management process in the Region by setting objectives and appraise each direct report on an annual basis. Drive the Performance Management process throughout the countries of responsibility in order to maximize the performance of the organization.
  • To ensure that effective training plans & systems are implemented to improve technician competency and service quality with the CAMS program
  • Responsible for implementing succession planning through the organization
  • QHSE:
  • Demonstrate effective Safety leadership at all times to enhance the organization\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to safety performance
  • Manage through support function management to ensure continual awareness and education of all employees with regards to Canrig\xe2\x80\x99s safety culture and commitment.
  • To address QHSE issues at the time of their identification and to implement the appropriate strategies that maintain QHSE awareness throughout the workforce.
  • Asset Utilization:
  • Manage and oversee the utilization of resources across the remit countries, both equipment and personnel, maximizing cost effectiveness
  • Manage existing facilities, and/or establish new facilities in remit countries, including offices and workshops for the proper and safe conduct of the business
  • Other relevant information:
  • The position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and will require travel to Oman and Kuwait as key strategic countries under the position responsibility.
Qualifications

MInimum qualifications
  • Minimum of a good quality technical degree qualification from a recognized University
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience at a management level within the Oil and Gas Industry

  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
  • Knowledgeable of Financial Management
