Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To ensure that the fleet can meet the operational requirements of the flying program acting as the interface between operations, engineering and aircrew. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with Pilots on identified engineering issues with the aircraft and provides suggestive corrective actions for issues that can be resolved remotely, advising flight crew with possible effects of Aircraft Deferred Defects (ADDs). Coordinates and liaises with the Maintenance team (if the aircraft is in base) or the outstation maintenance providers (if the aircraft is outside of base) to resolve the issues as efficiently as possible, ensuring compliance and safety standards are maintained at the highest level. Undertakes any decisions to replace or repair considering all possible costs to the airline (equipment costs, operational costs, etc.). Coordinates the recovery of AOG aircraft in situations where repairs are not possible by identifying, scheduling and dispatching engineers to fly to the destination (including all 'housekeeping' responsibilities - hotel bookings, transport etc.) Monitors, reviews, and maintains ADD/CDL/MEL levels and database, and plans for clearance of the defects in coordination with Technical Planning and Logistics. Controls the issue of Pilot Limited Authorization Event Record (PLAER) and One-Off Authorizations in compliance with Flydubai procedures and Regulator Authority. Informs Network Control Center of Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and customer comfort related items and their impact on the operation, publishing the Operational Status Report (OSR) to inform the internal stakeholders of the fleet status. Records and Reports Technical Delays in the maintenance database to help identify reasons and root causes of the delays and follows up on delay events liaising with the Line Maintenance to collect the required information. Maintains a detailed log of all the maintenance events (in the main base and outstation) in AMOS, including Aircraft on Ground (AOGs), delays, and all outstation maintenance activities. Monitors aircraft downtime and ensures that maximum utilization is achieved for aircraft maintenance. Ensures a proper handover is maintained in AMOS and the same is carried out face-to-face at each shift change. Identifies, analyses and prioritizes the reported defects, Aircraft Health Monitoring (AHM) and Conditional Non-Routine Report (CNR) reports with their effect on flight operation, considering all possible options for recovery of the reported event with proactive thinking over safe, reliable and efficient operation. Advices, updates and coordinates the aircraft technical problems with Line Maintenance, Technical Support, Logistics and Technical Planning departments to support flydubai operation with minimum disruption. Undertakes any critical decision (AOG, air turn back, return to stand, etc.) by analyzing all the effects of the event with a broad perspective.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree (3+ years) Engineering discipline Fluent in English Demonstrated experience (min 5 years) as B1 and/or B2 Certifying Engineer on Boeing 737NG and 737 MAX aircraft in Line and/or Base Maintenance environment. Broad knowledge and experience in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Suite and MRO Systems. 7 - 9 years Current CAR 66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (or FAA/ICAO equivalent) with ratings on the Boeing 737NG and MAX aircraft.
