Job Overview: Responsible for the Logistics activities of the entire project. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with McDermott QHSES requirements and adheres to all internal company polices. Supervise the Logistics Operations Team who are deputed for various projects, including Marine & MRO Take active part in the bidding team by providing accurate freight estimates, logistics options and advising the best case. Responsible for the Logistics activities of the project. Verification and Approval of Vendor Payment Invoice Prepare Project Specific Logistics Plan Prepare and implement Procedures and Work Flow for the department Negotiate and Finalize with carriers for Full and Part Charters and finalize on the Charter Party Agreements. Review Method Statement and arrange Alignment meeting with all concerned parties, prior to Loading and Discharge activities of Full or Part Chartered Shipment Participate in the finalization of Freight Forwarders on Long Term Contract Prepare Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedures for Contracted Freight Forwarders Provides guidance and advice to PMTs to ensure that all Restricted Goods, Chemicals and goods requiring special import certificates and customs procedures are imported in compliance with the local Government Departments regulations. Hands on experience on Duty Exemption Procedure, SABER, FASAH and other Customs requirements. Point of contact for the relationship between PMT's and UAE based Freight Forwarders and Customs agents (not including Ships Agents who are managed by the MDR Marine Logistics Department). Assuming overall and final responsibility for procurement of all modes of transportation operations from vendors. Attend internal meetings and with Freight Forwarders / Shipping Lines. Comply with all Customs and regulatory requirements of all countries prior to executing any inbound or outbound shipments by air, sea and courier Any other task as assigned by PPM / SCM Manager / Regional LT&C Manager Essential Qualifications and Education: Minimum 10 years exp in a Construction Company in O&G field. Fluent in English in reading and writing. Knowledge of Arabic is a definite advantage.
