Education

:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

:

Linux Administration: Minimum 5?years of hands?on production experience with Linux distributions.

Required Skills:

Networking & Firewalls: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPNs, and firewall platforms. Containerization: Proven experience with Docker, LXC, and managing production?grade Kubernetes clusters (at least 3?years). Virtualization: Experience with KVM/QEMU or VMware ESXi/vSphere (at least 2?years). Monitoring & Observability: Working knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and related alerting pipelines. Scripting: Ability to write Bash and Python scripts for automation (preferred but essential for the role). English Fluency: Excellent spoken and written English (business?level).

Preferred (Nice?to?Have) Skills:

Hands?on experience with NVIDIA GPU drivers, CUDA, and GPU?accelerated workloads in Kubernetes. Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi. Knowledge of security frameworks (CIS, NIST) and compliance standards (ISO?27001, GDPR).

Role and Responsibilities

Role Summary

The Senior Linux Systems Engineer will own the design, deployment, hardening, and day?to?day operation of Hyperfusion's Linux?based server fleet and container platforms. You will work closely with developers, security, and network engineers to build resilient, automated, and observable infrastructure that runs in private clouds

What You'll Do (with Technical Depth)

Linux Server Management

Install, configure, patch, and secure CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu servers. Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster?recovery procedures.

Network & Security

Design and maintain VLANs, routing, and firewall policies Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply hardening baselines (CIS, NIST).

Container & Orchestration

Build and maintain Docker images for platform deployments Operate production?grade Kubernetes clusters (kubeadm) - node provisioning, upgrades, RBAC, network policies. Integrate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Argo CD).

Virtualisation

Deploy and manage KVM/QEMU environments. Create templated VM images, manage storage (Ceph, NFS), and virtual networking (vSwitch).

Observability & Monitoring

Configure Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Alertmanager for infrastructure and application metrics and logs. Build dashboards and generate SLO/SLA reports for stakeholders.

Automation & Scripting

Write reusable Bash and Python scripts to automate provisioning, backup, and compliance checks.

Contribute to Ansible infrastructure?as?code repositories.

NVIDIA & GPU Workloads

Install and maintain NVIDIA drivers, CUDA toolkit, and GPU?enabled container runtimes. Automate and Deploy GPU?accelerated workloads in Kubernetes

Documentation

Keep architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures up?to?date in the company knowledge system.
