Senior Legal Counsel, International Banking
CLIENT: We have worked with this international banking client for over 15 years in Dubai and far longer globally. They have come to us to help add a new Senior Legal Counsel to their transactional banking team, which forms a very busy regional hub. The divisional legal team is relatively small, but forming part of a much larger network.
ROLE: Whilst day to day responsibilities will vary, the core of the role is to support the commercial and banking activities of the legal function, run and monitor transactions, promote compliance and correct business conduct, whilst keeping a keen eye on risk and regulatory matters.

CANDIDATE: There are some key considerations that the client is looking for:
- You\xe2\x80\x99ll need at least 7+ PQE in order to fit into the framework of the role, but probably less than around 15.
- It\xe2\x80\x99s essential that you\xe2\x80\x99ve trained and qualified at a well known international law firm or financial services corporate.
- Experience of working in both environments is ideal.
- Your skill set will need to have covered corporate and transactional finance as well as regulatory and risk management.
- The role is based in Dubai and that\xe2\x80\x99s where you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be.
