Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior Laravel Developer

to lead the backend development of our web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in

Laravel

PHP

, and related technologies, with a proven track record of architecting scalable, maintainable, and secure backend systems. You will work closely with frontend developers, DevOps, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

Design, architect, and develop high-performance backend systems using Laravel. Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to coding standards. Evaluate and integrate modern PHP packages, tools, and services to enhance system capability.

Application Development

Build RESTful APIs and backend services with Laravel and related stacks. Implement complex business logic, multi-tenant architectures, and real-time data workflows. Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following SOLID principles.

System Integration

Integrate with third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, analytics). Build and maintain secure authentication and authorization systems using Laravel Passport, Sanctum, or JWT.

Database Management

Design and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, manage migrations, indexing, and performance tuning. Implement database caching (e.g., Redis, Memcached) and advanced querying.

DevOps & Deployment

Automate deployment workflows using tools like Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins). Manage Laravel deployments on AWS/DigitalOcean/Forge/Vapor or similar platforms.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Write and maintain PHPUnit or Pest tests (unit, feature, integration). Ensure test-driven development (TDD) and continuous testing practices.

Security & Compliance

Ensure application security with protection against SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities. Implement secure data practices in compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or other regional laws if applicable.

Project Ownership

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and estimate efforts. Take full ownership of backend project modules from inception to release.

Languages:

PHP 8+, JavaScript (basic understanding)

Frameworks:

Laravel (5.x to latest), Livewire (optional), Lumen (microservices)

Databases:

MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis

Tools:

Composer, Git, Docker, REST APIs, Swagger

Testing:

PHPUnit, PestPHP

Cloud & DevOps:

AWS, Forge, Vapor, CI/CD pipelines

Other:

Laravel Nova, Laravel Horizon, Queues & Jobs, Event Broadcasting (Pusher, Echo)

Nice to Have:

Experience with Vue.js or React.js (for full-stack capabilities) Experience in microservices architecture and domain-driven design Experience with Laravel Octane for high-performance apps Contribution to open-source projects or Laravel community
