Senior Land Surveyor - AECOM - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
The Senior Land Surveyor supports complex infrastructure and transportation projects in Dubai by delivering accurate surveying data, managing land information systems, and ensuring compliance with design, legal, and authority requirements. This role operates with a high level of autonomy and technical expertise, contributing to multidisciplinary teams on major urban and underground construction works.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed surveys to determine locations of natural features and man-made structures on, above, and below ground
• Utilize electronic distance-measuring equipment, GPS, and advanced surveying instruments to collect and verify data
• Operate and manage land-information and surveying computer systems, including data storage, queries, plots, and reports
• Review survey data related to distances, directions, angles, elevations, contours, and alignments
• Research legal records and historical survey data to identify and confirm boundary lines
• Analyze survey findings to establish accurate boundary locations and reference points
• Record, verify, and validate survey results to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare survey plots, maps, drawings, and technical reports for engineering and construction teams
• Support infrastructure and transportation projects, including underground and microtunneling works
• Resolve surveying discrepancies and support project teams with technical survey guidance
• Work independently on complex surveying tasks with minimal supervision

Ideal Profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in land surveying
• Experience in microtunneling projects is preferred
• Prior Dubai or UAE project experience is strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in surveying instruments, data processing tools, and land information systems
• Solid understanding of boundary determination, elevations, and infrastructure surveying
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills
• Ability to work on diverse and technically complex surveying challenges
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering and construction teams
