Ensure system performance, reliability, and security.
User Support & Training
Assist end-users with technical issues via phone, email, or in person.
Provide training sessions or materials for staff on software and systems use.
Incident & Problem Management
Manage and document incidents, service requests, and resolutions using a ticketing system.
Analyze recurring problems and recommend long-term solutions.
IT Infrastructure Management
Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Oversee configuration and installation of hardware and software.
Security & Compliance
Ensure systems are secure and comply with internal and external regulations.
Perform regular audits, backups, and updates.
Project Coordination
Lead or assist in IT projects including deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
Coordinate with vendors and other departments to meet project goals.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and changes.
Generate regular reports on system performance and incident resolution.
Mentorship & Leadership
Guide and mentor junior IT staff, providing training and performance feedback.
Assist in developing IT support standards and best practices.
Vendor & Asset Management
Liaise with IT vendors for procurement, warranty claims, and service contracts.
Track and manage IT inventory and assets.
Senior IT Specialist - Key Requirements
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience
: 5+ years in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
Technical Skills
:
Network configuration & troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
Server management (Windows/Linux).
IT security practices and tools.
Backup & recovery systems.
Cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) experience is a plus.
Certifications
: CompTIA, Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) preferred.
