We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to enhance our risk management, control, and governance processes. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of professional internal audit standards and have experience in planning, testing, sampling, and documentation. This role will play a critical part in evaluating and improving business operations, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable recommendations for process efficiency and risk mitigation.

Experience: 8-15 years, with at least 3 years as a senior internal auditor. UAE industry experience is required, and preference will be given to candidates with property development or construction experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in opening meetings to explain audit scope and objectives to stakeholders
- Develop a thorough understanding of business processes and document process flows
- Identify and document risks and controls within business processes
- Create a risk-based test plan and perform audit tests in compliance with professional IIA standards
- Evaluate the effectiveness of controls and propose value-added recommendations
- Organize and reference work papers for internal audit reviews
- Participate in closing meetings and provide clear explanations for audit findings
- Assist in preparing audit reports and effectively communicate findings to senior management
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations within agreed timelines
- Provide support on ad-hoc consultancy requirements and risk analysis
- Ensure compliance with legal, business ethics, and regulatory requirements
- Support special projects, investigations, and internal control enhancements
Job Requirements
- Professional qualification in Accounting/Internal Auditing (CA, ACCA, CPA)
- Preference for holders of CIA, CISA, or CFE certifications
- 8-15 years of internal audit experience, with at least 3 years as a senior internal auditor
- Strong knowledge of IIA performance standards, audit planning, and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for audit documentation and reporting
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to audit excellence and the ability to adapt to changing expectations
Preferred Background
- Experience in the real estate or construction industry is highly desirable
- Prior experience in UAE-based organizations is required
