Intermediate Interior Designer Reports to: Lead Interior Designer/Senior Interior Designer Collaborates with: Clients, Architects, Structural, MEP, and Landscape Teams Core Roles and Responsibilities 1. Interior Design Execution & Development o Support the interior design process from concept to detailed design under the direction of the Lead Interior Designer/Senior Interior Designer. o Interpret project briefs into well-developed spatial layouts, material palettes, finishes, furniture layouts, and mood boards that reflect the design vision and end-user needs. o Contribute creative ideas while ensuring alignment with architectural intent and project requirements. 2. Client Interaction Support o Participate in client meetings alongside senior staff, presenting selected aspects of the design. o Document client feedback and translate it into actionable design adjustments. o Maintain professional communication with clients regarding assigned design elements. 3. Resource and Time Coordination o Assist in developing project schedules and deliverable timelines in coordination with the Senior Interior Designer. o Prepare required design documentation in accordance with agreed project phases and deadlines. 4. Multidisciplinary Coordination o Coordinate assigned interior elements with architecture, MEP, structural, and landscape teams. o Ensure ceiling heights, lighting layouts, AC diffusers, electrical points, and access panels are integrated into design solutions. o Attend coordination meetings and provide input on assigned areas to help resolve design conflicts. 5. Project Delivery Participation o Prepare interior design drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules using BIM (Revit) as the primary platform. o Support the preparation of 3D visuals and presentation materials. o Ensure assigned deliverables meet company standards and are ready for internal and external review. 6. Compliance and Quality Awareness o Apply relevant building codes, authority regulations, accessibility requirements, and fire/life safety guidelines to assigned design elements. o Incorporate sustainable design considerations (e.g., Estidama, WELL, LEED) into material and product selection when applicable. 7. Team Collaboration & Development o Work collaboratively with the design team, offering guidance to junior designers when appropriate. o Seek mentorship from senior staff to continue growing in concept development, detailing, and project coordination. o Contribute to a positive, organized, and creative studio environment. Key Soft Skills & Expectations o Solid design and technical skills with the ability to balance creativity and functionality. o Strong proficiency in BIM workflows, specifically Revit, for both design development and documentation. o Clear and confident communication skills in team and client settings. o Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable in meeting deadlines. o Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute proactively. o Alignment with the company's values of design excellence, accountability, and innovation.
