Neatsmith have been manufacturing and installing London's Finest Wardrobes for over 20 years.

In September 2025 we will be opening our first permanent overseas showroom on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.

We're seeking a full time in house interior designer to assist our high net worth customers.

Lead with vision. Own the process. Achieve outstanding results from initial idea to final handover.

Position Summary

This isn't a hands-off design job. As our Senior Interior Designer, you'll handle the complete design lifecycle--from gathering client input to supervising the end result.

You'll drive the creative direction, align with client goals, direct a team of junior designers and specialists, and guarantee the project is delivered on schedule, to the highest standards, and true to the original concept.

Key Duties

Complete Design Project Management

Engage with clients to capture their requirements, daily habits, and overall aspirations
Craft floor plans, inspiration boards, material choices, and compelling design proposals
Share initial concepts and incorporate client input for refinements
Advance the design phase, specifying arrangements, surfaces, illumination, custom furniture, and cabinetry
Direct and sign off on 3D models and visuals (created by juniors or specialists)
Manage technical illustrations (produced by the team), checking for precision, feasibility, and concept fidelity
Oversee selections for furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and final decor touches

Client Interaction & Direction

Deliver polished presentations to clients at critical project stages
Join clients for site inspections to confirm alignment with the approved design
Serve as the main design liaison with clients throughout the project
Keep detailed records and design documentation organized from beginning to end

Team Coordination & Oversight

Mentor and supervise junior staff and technicians on assigned projects
Evaluate all team outputs, including sketches, visuals, and specs
Delegate responsibilities according to team strengths while maintaining unified delivery
Liaise with sourcing and engineering teams for supplies and site needs

Site Design Supervision

Inspect the site during major phases to verify accurate implementation
Explain design details to contractors, vendors, and on-site crews as required
Spot and fix any discrepancies or challenges during construction
Uphold standards for craftsmanship, materials, and fine details

Essential Qualifications & Abilities

At least 3 years in luxury home interior design
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a similar discipline
Strong portfolio featuring premium residential projects (UAE/Dubai background a plus)
Proficient in English, spoken and written
Skilled in:

AutoCAD (essential)
SketchUp (essential)
Photoshop & InDesign (for client decks)
3D rendering tools (familiarity; support available)
Revit (advantageous)
