Roles & Responsibilities
Inspection & Surveillance
+ Plan and execute inspections per ITPs.
+ Establish and monitor hold/witness points during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
+ Verify prerequisites such as WPS, calibration certificates, and material certifications before work begins.
Compliance Assurance
+ Ensure offshore activities conform to approved drawings, codes, and specifications.
+ Validate that only authorized deviations are accepted.
+ Review P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, electrical single-lines, and hook-up packs for accuracy.
Safety & Regulatory Oversight
+ Confirm adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
+ Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Documentation & Records
+ Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability of materials and processes.
+ Document non-conformances and initiate corrective/preventive actions.
Leadership & Coordination
+ Supervise junior inspectors and provide technical guidance.
+ Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
+ Act as a subject matter expert, sharing best practices and improving inspection discipline.
Experience Required
10-12 years of QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 5 years offshore
Proven expertise in welding inspection, fabrication, piping, structural steel, and coating activities.
Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, AWS).
Experience in reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Procedures.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, electrical single-lines, and hook-up packs.
