About Company: Jouzy Consulting Engineers provides engineering services throughout the growing market in the Middle East and North Africa. Established in 1966, Jouzy has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and Cairo, Egypt. We pride ourselves in being a multi-disciplined company but yet very specialized in every service that we offer. Responsibilities:

• Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Carry out feasibility and optioneering studies.
• Resolves simple design problems using both manual and computer methods with minimal supervision.
• Assists in obtaining design approval from authorities/agencies.
• Maintains quality control and quality standards in all personal work output, checking computations, designs, drawings, plans, estimates and reports prepared for comprehensiveness, technical accuracy and sound application of engineering principles and standards.
• Provides support for other engineering activities as required.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering from a recognized institution
• Minimum 8 years of experience in road and highway design with thorough knowledge of Highway Design Software
• Preferred to have experience in Dubai/UAE
• Excellent command of Auto CAD and Civil 3D
• Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software
• Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team
• Ability to guide and motivate and train junior engineers within the team
