About the role Siemens Energy is searching for a Senior GridConsulting Expert to join our Middle East team based in Abu Dhabi, United ArabEmirates. You will be part of Siemens Energy\xe2\x80\x99s global GridConsulting business headquartered in Germany. As a Senior Grid Consulting Expert, you will applyyour technical and commercial expertise to execute studies related totransmission & distribution power grids and industrial networks. In addition, you will actively identify and developopportunities in the Middle East and North-Africa regions, manage partneringopportunities & new sales and carry out marketing & businessdevelopment to support the overall business growth. As part of your role, depending on the individualprojects, you will also support the Grid Consulting management team withinformation gathering, analysis and reporting. / Responsibilities You will report directly to the Head of GridConsulting, Middle East region and have responsibility for:

• Developing grid consulting opportunities within the MENAregion (opportunity identification / development, techno/commercial offerpreparation, contract negotiation).
• Managing assigned consulting projects individually bycoordinating with a diverse technicalexpert team in Siemens Energy, as well asexperts of partner organizations.
• Undertaking assignments covering analysis of existing andproposed networks applied to a variety of renewable, onshore/offshore,industrial and utility projects for clients based in the MENA region.
• Presenting grid consulting project results to customers\xe2\x80\x99 andother key stakeholders at various technical and C- levels.
• Contributing to reporting and business management activitiescoordinated from the Grid Consulting Head Office and Regional Corporate teams.
• Serving as a key technical expert within Siemens Energy tosupport the overall company growth strategy by providing relevant gridexpertise and propose cross divisional solutions wherever required.
• RepresentingSiemens Energy LLC on various international forums, conferences and workshops.

Your Qualification / Experience

• Preferably M.Sc degree level (or equivalent) in ElectricalEngineering, Power Systems Engineering or other relevant electrical discipline.
• Solid (+10 years of) experience in providing technicalconsulting services related to power grids to a diverse, international customerbase, preferably within the Middle East region.
• Sound experience (+5 years) in dealing / negotiating with /presenting to highest level governing bodies, government official as well asenergy market regulators and utilities
• Proven track record (+10 years) of delivering high quality,clear and precise power system studies reports, also for industrial customers.
• Experience in one or more of the following software packagesis required, especially focusing on power quality assessment and protectioncoordination studies: PSS/e, PSS Sincal, ETAP.
• Sound experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder powersystem study projects, liaising with clients and supervising/leading,mentoring, and training a diverse and international team of consultant.
• Has at least 5+ years of business development experience,including identifying new business opportunities, managing customer accounts,developing technical/commercial proposals, and negotiating contracts.
• Abilityto undertake regular visits within the Middle East and North Africa region tomeet with clients and contractors, negotiate contracts, provide technicalexpertise, run workshops, and in general, promote the broader Siemens EnergyPortfolio to existing and potential customers. From time to time, internationaltravel outside the Middle East region will also be required, depending onbusiness needs.
