The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the company's financial planning, analysis, and decision-making by delivering accurate reporting, deep financial insights, and project-level performance evaluations. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and profitability of construction projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain
financial models and forecasts
for multiple ongoing construction projects.
Conduct in-depth
variance analysis
of actual vs. budgeted project costs and company-wide financial performance.
Collaborate with
project managers, procurement, and site engineers
to track and report on project financials, including earned value analysis.
Analyze
cost structures, material usage
, and
labor efficiency
to recommend cost-saving strategies.
Evaluate and monitor
cash flow projections
, payment schedules, and working capital requirements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial reports
for management and external stakeholders.
Support
budgeting, bidding, and tendering
processes by providing detailed financial inputs.
Ensure compliance with
financial regulations, tax requirements,
and
internal controls.
Assist in the implementation of
ERP systems or financial tools
to streamline financial processes.
Provide input into
strategic decisions
including pricing, capital investments, and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
Finance, Accounting, or Economics
; MBA or CMA/CPA is a plus.
Minimum 10 years
of experience in financial analysis, with at least
5 years in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of
project-based accounting
and construction project lifecycle.
Proficient in
Excel
,
ERP systems
(e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), and
financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong understanding of
cost control, contract financials,
and
construction budgeting.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with
cost estimation software
or
construction project management tools
.
Familiarity with
UAE VAT regulations
and local accounting practices (if in UAE or Gulf region).
Ability to partner with technical and non-financial staff across departments.
