You will be working as a Senior Field Service Engineer and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Services Division based in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Service LPG Manager and will be responsible to execute medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.
Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Report unsafe practices and incidents and lead HSE activities at site. Contribute to customer satisfaction by planning and executing Service work according to customer order and expectation.
Clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility. Ensure customer retention by delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
Work with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base to improve system performance and operational performance improvements. While on-site, works with the customer to identify opportunities for improving the customers operations, eliminating pain points and utilize the local practices for notifying the account team of opportunities.
Plan and prepare site work for larger project team and manage related subcontractors at site. Perform complex field service tasks, identify technical problems, and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.
Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities, all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative. Utilize all relevant tools and report work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
Troubleshoot equipment/Systems/Process failures, request proactive corrective actions and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future. Act as a technical consultant in own specific area of expertise.
Proactively plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensure the job is done on time and on quality. Identify improvement needs and potential solutions for them in the way of working and the products in question and drive improvement action in own area of responsibility.
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
minimum 5 years of professional related experience
Good leadership capabilities with a team-oriented attitude are essential.
Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
