QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field is preferred.
Professional affiliations / certifications with a recognized institute.
Proficient in the Arabic Language. Proficiency of the English language would also be ideal.
6-8 years of experience of working in a similar role is preferred.
Extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in areas requiring in-depth knowledge of insurance calculations and legal implications.
Strong understanding and application of legal principles relevant to insurance, including Civil Transactions, Commercial, Civil Procedure, and Evidence Laws.
Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate complex legal and insurance documents and reports.
Excellent communication and consultation skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and effective advice to various stakeholders.
Demonstrated capability to supervise and guide a team of experts in handling and resolving complex insurance-related issues.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Core Responsibilities
  • Offer insurance consultations to judges, focusing on complex insurance matters and legal issues related to various cases.
  • Engage in the detailed analysis and calculation of insurance-related matters, including but not limited to business interruption, life insurance investments, and other specialized areas.
  • Provide legal and insurance advice to experts, stakeholders, and management colleagues, ensuring informed decision-making processes.
  • Draft committee decisions ensuring they adhere to relevant legal frameworks, such as Civil Transactions Law, Commercial Law, Civil Procedure Law, Evidence Law, and foundational Insurance Principles.
  • Address and respond to legal defenses raised by parties in disputes, incorporating legal precedents and principles to support these responses.
  • Conduct thorough studies and analyses of disputes, responsive memorandums, commentary, and closing statements to ensure comprehensive understanding and resolution.
  • Critically evaluate expert reports related to vehicles, fire incidents, health, investment, and life insurance, recommending amendments or accepting findings based on insurance standards and principles.
  • Analyze and interpret forensic reports, determining their adoption or amendment in alignment with established insurance and legal standards.
  • Review and study legal appeals from the Supreme Federal Courts and Courts of Cassation, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and application of legal precedents. Oversee and approve the study of escalation files by the committee's experts, guiding them to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and insurance standards.
  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
