Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) Design to lead and manage complex wastewater treatment projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in process design, hydraulic profiling, equipment specification, and regulatory compliance to support public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design of municipal and industrial sewerage treatment plants, including conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs. Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass balances, and hydraulic profiles. Specify and select treatment technologies and mechanical/electrical equipment. Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and tender documents. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation). Ensure compliance with local and international design codes, standards, and environmental regulations. Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables for quality and accuracy. Interface with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. Support project proposals, cost estimation, and timelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering Professional Engineering License/Registration (PE, Chartered Engineer, etc.) preferred. 8+ years of experience in wastewater/STP design, including biological and tertiary treatment. Proficiency with design tools (AutoCAD, Bentley WaterGEMS, BioWin, MATLAB, or similar). Strong knowledge of activated sludge, MBBR, SBR, MBR, and tertiary treatment systems. Familiarity with energy efficiency and sustainability best practices in STP design. Excellent project management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in design-build or EPC projects. Working knowledge of international standards (e.g., ASCE, AWWA, ISO, WHO). Prior experience with digital twins or smart water infrastructure is a plus.
