Job Description

HVAC Senior Engineer is a mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, installing, and commissioning HVAC systems. Their role involves creating and reviewing designs, supervising site installation, coordinating with other disciplines like architects and electrical engineers, and ensuring projects meet quality and safety standards. They are proficient in HVAC software, international standards like ASHRAE, and possess strong leadership and communication skills. Key responsibilities

Design and review:

Review HVAC design drawings, calculations, and material submittals.

Installation supervision:

Supervise the installation of systems like ducting, piping, and ventilation to ensure quality and compliance with approved designs.

Coordination:

Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other trades to ensure the seamless integration of all systems.

Commissioning and testing:

Conduct testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.

Technical support:

Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot issues during the project execution phase.

Documentation:

Prepare and maintain material requisitions, work progress reports, and testing documentation.

Safety:

Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.

Mentorship:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Required qualifications and skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in HVAC design and installation.

Technical skills:

Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or similar. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, DW144).

Soft skills:

Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Experience with specific industries:

Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects is often preferred. Hospital experience is an advantage, good knowledge of civil engineer and execution.

Regional experience:

Experience in the UAE/GCC region can be an advantage.
