Job Description

1. JOB PURPOSE: Provide technical expertise in Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPC, LLI Procurement Engineering, Project Management, Inspection and Testing at Vendor's shop for the New Projects and Expansion Projects, Plant Modifications study. Assist in Integrity troubleshooting, site testing and shutdowns to maintain electrical equipment effectively and efficiently to achieve high degree of availability, reliability and integrity for plant production.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific Accountabilities

Engineering Execution and Expertise Supervise/ Monitor the Engineering Consultant, Project Management Consultant, EPC Contractor for the new and Expansion Project to ensure efficient execution. Prepare Scope of Work documents for Engineering Study for the Engineering Consultant as required. Review Project documents for all Electrical Equipment from Contractors. Review and approve Technical Bid Evaluation Report from Contractors for LLI and other Equipment and Packages. Review and involve in all major critical Vendor's document like data sheet, SLD, GA Drawings, Plot Plans, Operating and Control Philosophy etc. Participate in all important Project meetings like KOM, Design review meeting, Pre-Inspection meeting etc. Participate in 3D Model Workshop, HAZOP, SIL, Project risk assessment etc. Review Vendor's Factory Acceptance Test procedure and Witness the FAT at Vendor's shop as required. Act as a Technical Authority for all existing Electrical Equipment at Plant and New Equipment to be installed in various Projects. Review and approve Plant Management of Change (MOC) w.r.t Electrical Equipment. Review RTS (Request for Technical Service) from Site team and prepare Technical Report to address the requested information. Participate and assist in Root Cause analysis (RCA) workshop will be conducted by Site Reliability Team. Participate in Value Engineering and Value Creation idea for Existing and New Equipment to be procured. Act as a Company's SME for ADNOC HQ activities for Equipment Unified Standards and IPR workshop for new projects. Act as a Coach/Mentor for UAE Engineers Youth Development Program (YDP). Coordinate and conduct regular meeting with all stake holders to discuss progress, challenges & solutions Assist and finalize Electrical Equipment Predictive Maintenance Digital Tools for Existing and New Equipment to be Procured. Others Perform other similar or related duties, as required.

Supervision Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective teams objectives. Budgets Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Team budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver team objectives. Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Implement approved Department / Team policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / team's work programs in line with Company and International standards. Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations. Performance Management Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Team in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices Reports Provide inputs to prepare teams MIS and progress reports for Company Management

3. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Team Leader, Engineering Services (Electrical) to provide information and reports, and receive directions. Frequent contact with Department Managers within the Division, VP-Technical Services, Site Team, ADNOC HQ Projects and Engineering team and peers within the Division / Company / ADNOC HQ to provide and obtain information. External ADNOC HQ and Other OPCOs for work coordination and knowledge sharing. Engineering Consultant, FEED/EPC Contractors, Third Party Vendors, Service Providers, etc.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum Experience & Knowledge 8 years' experience in Electrical engineering in Conceptual, FEED and EPC Project of Electrical Equipment within a large industrial organization in the Oil and Gas industry. Skills Extensive experience in electrical equipment design, engineering, construction, Inspection and Testing in the oil and gas industry. If any Maintenance and Operation Experience is an added advantage. Familiarity of international design codes and standards, you will have the ability to prepare design, procurement, construction, (pre) commissioning and hand-over specification packages for electrical equipment. Familiarity of the capabilities and shortcomings of major electrical equipment manufacturers, and a proven track record of conducting technical and commercial negotiations with them. Familiarity of Vendor's FAT and Site Equipment Testing. Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices. Effective communication and ability to write technical reports, specifications etc. Knowledge of international codes and standards, procedures, local regulations and specifications. Knowledge and experience conducting various meetings and workshop as required. Ability to apply cost saving techniques. Comprehensive understanding of HSE and other regulatory compliance requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP). Knowledge and experience conducting RCA's. Very good knowledge of oral & written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable. Professional Certifications Electrical Equipment sizing (Selecting and calculating electrical equipment for a power system). Power systems design. Energy management (Energy consumption design). Electrical Equipment in hazardous areas design (Electrical Equipment selection for hazardous areas). Electrical Protection Design (Designing LV, MV, HV systems Protection relays). Electrical Transient Analyzer Program training. Any of the following is preferred: Certified Training in Electrical Thermography Techniques (Ref to ISO 18436) Certified Training in Partial Discharge Techniques (Ref to ISO 18436) Certified Training in Switchgear Transient Earth Voltage Techniques and result analysis (Ref to ISO 18436) Certified Training in Electrical Battery Impedance Techniques and result analysis (Ref to ISO 18436) Certified Training in Electrical Megger PdM Techniques and result analysis (Ref to ISO 18436)
